As Autumn kicks into 4th gear, the days slowly get shorter and the transition into layers and fall hues flood the shops to everyones delight. Spring and Autumn are my favourite seasons because they’re not so extreme. I’ve never been too good at pulling outfits together during the transitioning stage – it’s like my brain falls apart, non of the mounds of clothes I own seem to be right and I forget how to dress myself.
Ironically, I picked up this outfit whilst I was sunning it up in Barcelona in 28 degree heat (I think I’m just weird when it comes to climates and fashion). When new stock drops for the change of season, ain’t no amount of sun going to stop me from splurging a little – I mean if there was ever a city to shop in, Barcelona is definitely my favourite! There’s just something about Spanish companies that has me drooling. There was a Pull & Bear, Mango, Zara & Stradivarius everywhere you turned – THE DREAM!
I have a little love affair with stripes and yellow hues right now, so there was no surprise that this outfit was an easy throw together. I picked up this cute mustard shirt whilst browsing the rails of Pimkie (similar here) & just fell in love! The oversized fit makes it look more expensive than it is and layering long gold necklaces with it, really tops it off! The trousers are from Stradivarius and so unbelievably comfy, they could double as pj’s! They also come in 4 other colours if a staple black/white combo is a little too office-y for you.
I’ve been fawning over gold jewellery lately which is more surprising in itself as around 6 months ago, you wouldn’t catch me near much jewellery at all, never mind statement hoops, necklace and rings to boot. But what can I say? I’m a sucker for anything personalised and when it’s combined with the beautiful written language of Arabic, what’s not to love? I’ve seen these floating around the gram for a while and lusted over their pretty nature, whilst toying with the idea to get one – I just wasn’t sure where to get one that wasn’t going to cost me a week’s wage!
As if the jewellery God’s were listening, MyNameNecklace ever so kindly gifted me this 18k Gold plated chain – just how stunning is it? If you haven’t guessed by now, yes, that is my name in Arabic! Eeeeep! I much prefer a shorter length necklace, especially with this being quite delicate, so I chose the 35cm child’s chain length and I’m really happy with where it sits.
If you’re looking for a gift this Christmas, MyNameNecklace have given my reader 15% off all there jewellery with code ‘SABINA15’ – Their jewellery is all made from Sterling Silver, Gold plating or solid Gold – bonus!
