This month I was invited along by Boohoo (thanks guys) for a spot of yoga at RCNQ to channel my chi in their new FIT range. The entire range is stylish (of course) and really affordable too which is perfect if you’re wanting to start the year off by getting in shape and in need of some new workout wear that isn’t going to break the bank. I picked an all black outfit to wear for the night and fell in love with this mesh running sweat & laser cut running leggings – the irony of both items being running related, ’cause that’s the last thing you’d ever catch me doing! I found the leggings came up a little small, so I’d really recommend to size up for a better fit.
I have to admit that I’m not the most active person. I do gym a lot, but tend to avoid classes because I know my limits and like to go at my own pace. So naturally, I was a little nervous at how my bad knees would cope with the yoga class but it wasn’t too demanding and Alexis, who ran the class, took it easy on us all. Alexis also holds classes at RCNQ, so if any of you would like to pop along you can find more info on that HERE.
After our yoga session, we were treated to some lovely food by Kettlebell kitchen – I had about 5 portions of falafel because it was the only vegan option, but super yummy!
We were also really kindly given a free hair gloss treatment & blow dry whilst we were there. What I found most thoughtful was that Rob, the salon owner, and his staff all looked through each of our blogs to get to know us a little better before we arrived on the day. They wanted to do a little digging so they could pair each blogger up with the best suited stylist. I personally feel that the worst part of getting your hair done is not having anything to say to your stylist, making it super awkward. I’m not even a magazine reader, so burying my head isn’t an option! Rob’s whole ethos is about the customers experience and journey from the moment they enter the salon and even after they leave! I certainly left feeling touched with their efforts and warming personalities.
What I found most interesting was that they don’t use shampoo & conditioner at the salon, they use a product called New Wash – it’s a pretty cool alternative product actually. It’s designed to remove the dirt from your hair without stripping your hair of it’s natural oils unlike shampoo. I then had a gloss treatment applied and had my hair dried and curled with tongs – I loved it!
I’d really recommend you to pop down to the salon. You can quote ‘FASHERNABLY LATE’ when booking to get 30% off. Bargaainnnnn!
